This frame was cut at our shop and then trucked to Lowell, Massachusetts and raised over the course of two days with a crane and the active involvement of the client and a number of his friends. The frame incorporates a twenty eight foot tall White Ash forked tree, with forked braces and gently curving tie beam. All of these elements were peeled and scribed into the frame round with full mortise and tenon joinery. The balcony railing was also incorporated into the timber frame and elegantly joins the tree. The client subsequently enclosed the frame with sip panels and took the project to completion on his own.
